One effective way to protect your accounts from cyberattacks is to add an uncommon character to your password. While many people rely on symbols or mixed-case letters and numbers, including the letter “ñ” can make your password significantly stronger. Since it’s mainly used in Spanish, it’s often missing from the dictionaries hackers use in brute-force attacks.
Password-cracking programs typically don’t account for “ñ,” meaning a password that could be cracked in about 5 hours might take up to 4 weeks instead. This small tweak can turn a weak password into a much more secure one.
